I am an Akershus oldtimer and haven't been since they implemented the princesses. The last time I went they had changed it where there was no "hot foods" on the buffet but you could order as many different hot foods as you wanted ala carte.

Can you still do that? Order as many different "hot dishes" as you desire....or is it only one? Thanks for any info!

It is fixed price to dine. You get the cold board as much as you want then you get 1 entree per person plus dessert is a bit of everything. Alcoholic drinks are extra. The dinner menu:

I am also an Akershus old timer. It used to be my favorite restaurant. The last time we went it was a horrible dissappointment. The food is not as good as it used to be and the choices are more limited than the old buffet. It seems they have "Americanized" the menu to appeal to the people who book for the princessses. If you liked Akershus before, I would not recommend it now. I think you may be dissappointed.

The last time we went we were disappointed in the change in the ordering. I loved being able to try different things and being able to order as many entrees as you wanted. However, we did still enjoyed the menu choices. For a princess meal, I do prefer the lunch, or dinner, over breakfast. For us, at least the meal was a little less hurried-I didn't feel so rushed to have to leave.

That's my 2 cents.
