Akershus reservation question

I have breakfast reservations for my family of 4 at Akershus in 2 weeks. At the last minute the Grandparents decided they wanted to come to Disney with us to spend some time with the Grandkids in Disney...their first trip together. I can't add them to my reservation because they say have nothing available. Would it be a horrible idea to just show up and see if they could fit two extra people at our table? Has anyone ever done this? Thanks!

Is it a pre-park (or pre-world-showcase) opening reservation? What will you do if they cannot accommodate the two extra people?

Nobody other than the person at the podium when you check in can give you an answer for sure. I imagine an Akershus breakfast is very risky.

The reservation is at 9:30ish....I just wondered if anyone else had done this. Figured I'd be at the mercy of the host.

I doubt they'll let the extra people through the world showcase entrance without already being on the reservation.

Keep checking online multiple times a day to see if a reservation for 6 or 2 comes up. If you get a res for 2 very close to your 9:30 res, when you check in ask if you can be seated together. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for the month, but be sure to read the rules in the first post:

Akershus is very popular and fully booked most of the time so showing up with 2 extra would be a last resort. As much as possible CMs at the podium will do their best to accommodate your extras, but there's always the possibililty that they'll be turned away because of fire code regulations or if it is extremely busy and they are running far behind schedule.

I totally forgot about the World Showcase timing!!! Thanks for all of the info, will keep trying!
