was wondering if the AK is worth it with toddlers. (3,2). Only been to the AK once (in august) and was not impressed, but then again it was HOT & CROWED. Did the safari, rapids, TTBaB, and Lion King.

I am willing to give it another try. With the kids old enough to enjoy the MK & MGM most of my time will be spent there. DS is 42in and DD is 36 will they be able to ride some of the rides.

Thanks you for all you advice.

My 3 yo sons fave spot at WDW is the Boneyard at AK. It's a big playground (like "Honey I shrunk the kids" at MGM - but bigger" and also a "Dinosaur bone dig (in sand). He also likes the Kilamanjaro Safaris, The Lion King Show, Tarzan Rocks (This one can be loud - so if your Children don't like "loud", then sit in the stadium away from the speakers), Conservation Station (a train ride to the petting area)(Lots of goats), Flights of Wonder (bird show), and Triceratops Spin (Dumbo). He also really liked the African Acrobats (Karuka) that perform in front of Tusker house (they aren't listed on the events guide- there is a sign in front of Tusker House that says when they are performing - 10:50 & 11:50am, 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm ) (a great lunch idea- get your food, then choose an outside table to watch the acrobats while you eat).

There are Character greets throughout the park, and I hear the parade is awesome (we are always gone before it happens).

The only rides that they may not be able to do are Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, and It's tough to be a bug (which they can do, but may find too scary- read a review of this before you take them).

I'm sure you'll have a great time! Jill

To answer your question, I would say "no." It would not be worth it, especially since you already went once and the trip was a bust. We took my 3 yo and 1 yo this summer and the 3 yo was only able to go on a couple of rides in Dinoland. He ASKED to leave after an hour and a half at AK, so he could take a nap before we went to MGM. He is a little bigger than your daughter, but smaller than your son. I don't remember if the height requirement is 40" or 44" on the rides, but I know your daughter is too small. While he did enjoy the Boneyard, he was too small to go on part of it and it wasn't really any more exciting for him than the playgrounds at MGM or Epcot's WS. I actually would recommend going to Epcot over AK. My son really enjoyed the change of pace in World Showcase and the Kidcot Stations. I'm sure my kids will like AK when they are much older--in grade school--and when we go in cooler weather.

I second Jill's opinion. We took our 2 & 5yo and they LOVED IT! Everything she said I agree with and my kids also loved. ITTBAB scared them both, so I might would skip that. You may not want to go for a whole day, but it is definately worth going to.

Just got back with my new 2 year old and almost 3 year old. We spent all of 3 hours in AK. My kids are 39" and 34" and weren't tlal enough to ride on much. We went straight to dinoland. They liked the triceratop spin ride and then we went to the boneyard. They had a lot of fun there but my younger one won't go down the slides alone and they wouldn't let me go down with her (one person at a time) so we left there after not too long. We then took Rafiki's planet watch. That was really disappointing, nothing really in ht eway of scenery. Got to the petting zoo area and you go in with the animals and my kids weren't having any part of that. We then took them on Kilimangaro Safari ride and they loved that. We then left and went to MK. Just not enough to keep my two interested when there was so much at MK for them to enjoy.
