Is that pretty doable? We are going on a day that touringplans lists as a 4 and plan to arrive at RD. We plan on hopping to DHS that evening, so I want to save our fastpasses for there.

Yes it's completely doable.

At RD go straight to Safari, then to Everest. You'll have to do a bit of walking, but almost no waiting. You should be fine for everything else.

Attempting the same only hopping to Epcot. According to TP (We have a 3 day) it is very doable. RD for Safari, Everest, Dinosaur and Whirl and beyond that no anticipated lines longer than 15 minutes.

Yes, it's possible, especially on a quieter day.

Ride the Safari Early. Not only will the lines be short, the animals are most active early in the morning and late in the afternoon. They are also very active in the rain (one of the reasons we love AK when it rains)

You can get into the Single Rider line for Everest if the line is too long. Your party will be split up but it's usually shorter than the regular line.

Dinosaur doesn't have a single rider line but the line usually isn't all that long.

If you're doing Festival of the Lion King or Nemo, get in line 30 months early for a good spot. You can grab some snacks and eat while you wait in the line.

The rides in Dinoland rarely get that long.

We've done exactly that on the last two trips. AK in the AM, HS in the PM with FP+s. It worked out great. Have a great trip!

Same thing for us, EMH morning, for Everest, Safari and Lion King, then over to Epcot late afternoon with FP+.

Yes very doable, especially if you arrive at RD. Even if it was a Touringplan 7 or 8 day at RD you could easily do it without a Fastpass. Do not know your family makeup or AK plans but the Safari, EE are the only must FP+ in the morning. In the afternoon, if it is hot, the Kali standby line can back up. The first couple of hours it is a walk on. Prime Whirl and Dinosaur can get decent wait times in the afternoon as well. In the morning the wait times rarely go above 10-15 minutes on 7-8 days.

Very doable. Last week we did one regular morning and one EMH morning. Got a lot done both mornings.

Regular morning we did Everest 2x, 5 minute wait on the second. Then went and walked on the Safari. Next we did Kali with a 20 minute wait. Did the Asia walking trail before our Yak 11:00 lunch. After lunch (about 12:30) we went to Dinosaur, and passed up the 40 minute line and did the Nemo 1:00 show instead. Without lunch I'm sure we could have hit Primevil and Dinosaur without much of a line. Used our FPs in the Studios that night.

EMH day we walked on Everest, Primevil and Donosaur. Grabbed some breakfast, then hit the first Lion King show before we left. Used FPs that night in MK.

YES! 30 months early would get you a really great seat - though I'm not sure they'll let you line up that far ahead...
But all of this is true - DH and I rode safari over and over once in torrential rain - there were only about 5 of us on the truck and we just kept looping around and getting back on - it was awesome!

Now THAT is a standby line

Why Safari first? We are arriving Disney on Friday....we are planning to do AK on Sat. morning at opening and we were thinking EE first ....then safari. Should we do the reverse??? I feel like Safari takes longer and the line at EE will just build.... an I don't mind waiting 20 min for Safari. :confused3 Theories please. :)

The Safari line can get long quickly. The ride has limited capacity (there are only so many safari trucks) and it's a long "ride", when compared to Everest which is over in a few minutes. Also, the animals are most active early in the morning (before 10am) We have only seen Rhinos twice on the Safari, both were before 9:30am. This is just our experience.

You can do EE first and then hop over to the Safari, it doesn't make a huge difference. But in my experience, we would go Safari and then EE

We did AK yesterday with only one FP, and crowd levels were definitely higher than 4. AK was our second park, so we had already used our 3 FP's at Epcot. We got a 4th for Dinosaur near the time we would be leaving that evening. We were still able to do the safari, Primeval Whirl, animal trails and Expedition Everest without FP's. IN fact, we did Everest 3 times in a row by using the single rider line. Using that line, we walked on the last two times.

Everyone is saying do Safari first, which is fine. But I prefer to do Everest first. Safari takes 20-30 minutes to ride, and the line for EE is going to grow way more in 30 minutes than the Safari line will grow in the 5 minutes it takes you to ride EE. Plus, this lets you ride EE multiple times with no wait if you want.
