I'm trying to figure out which day to go to AK. How crazy will Christmas Eve be? Thoughts?
Pandora is a must for my 14 year old DD. It was not open last year when we went. My kids are 14,9,7. We are staying at SOG and will most likely not have a FP+. 30 days out I plan on stalking MDE for a FP.
Right now our plan is:
12/23 arrive early afternoon (driving from GA) and go to Disney Springs to eat, shop and see Santa.
12/24 AK (rope drop to close)
12/25 sleep in, open presents, swim, Mickey BBQ at 4pm.
12/26 bfast @ Kona, shop/explore, swim, Pirates & Pals at night.
12/27 Drive back to TX.
My first thought was to go 12/25 because most will be at MK but my 2 little ones believe in Santa and I don't know how we would do that and make it to AK before rope drop.
This is not our first Disney trip and we went last Christmas as well. We were chosen as family of the day at MK last Christmas on 12/28 and had an incredible day.
Our goal is to see Pandora and spend the day in AK as it's our favorite park.
Other thoughts are to add Epcot on 12/26 and cancel bfast and the pirate cruise.
We have not done the BBQ or cruise.
