How long on average does it take to walk through the Pangani and Maharajah trails if we stop to observe the animals but not for long? Just an average time would be greatly appreciated to help work out timing of our AK tour plan.
Back in the old FP- days we grabbed a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari at RD and then walked the Pangani trail until our window opened up, so a little less than an hour spent on the trail. That was a decent amount of time for us. Stopped to see all the animals, but didn't linger on any one for an especially long time.
I'm with just about everyone else with the 45 mins or so for Pangani and Maharajah. But, don't forget another 30-45 mins or so at The Oasis when either entering or leaving AK (most people walk right past it, we usually stroll around a little on our way out).
I vote 30-45 minutes. DS and I did each in under 20 minutes while trying to get all the Wilderness Explorer badges, but that didn't allow lingering or photography. (And, yes, we are now Senior Wilderness Explorers! )

Oohh..so you were able to get ALL the badges in those areas in 20 mins for each location? I want so much for us to be able to complete all the stations but we only have 1 day at AK. This includes an ADR and of course will need to ride safari, ee, dinosaur, watch nemo, fotlk, and flights of wonder. Just not sure we can get it all in.
