Is it possible to do a 10am Lion King Show, 1030 safari FP and make 1045 Tusker House reservations? (with a 2 year old).

Thanks!

I don't think so. The Festival of the Lion King is about 1/2 hour so by the time you get out of the theater and walk to the safari, you'd be past the 10:30 start of your FP. The safari is about 20 minutes so you'd miss your 10:45 reservation at Tusker House.

No, I don't think so. You could do the 10:00 Lion King, followed by the 10:30 Safari FP, but I think you would cut into your hour-long FP window to do so. We saw the Lion King a couple of weeks ago (a highlight of AK, by the way!) and I think the show lasted close to 30 minutes. Add to that the walking time to Safari (not huge but not insignificant, especially given that you'll have to navigate around the crowd leaving the show), and Safari is pretty long, and you won't be able to make it to Tusker House by 10:45.

We found it challenging to fit in everything we wanted to do at AK because the shows we wanted to see are at the top of the hour, and they are pretty long. If you could move Tusker House back some, that would enable you to do Lion King and Safari first, or maybe you could move Safari up to before Lion King?

Good luck!

absolutely not! the LK show is longer than that (allowing for seating the crowd) as is the safari. Why rush around on vacation anyway? ;)

Not the smallest chance even if you have the super power of transportation.

No! You've made two mistakes...

Festival of the Lion King is about 30 minutes. Even if you're the first out of the theatre, you wouldn't make it. Its probably about a five minute walk to the Safari entrance from there. Technically, you might have enough of a grace period on your FP to get on the Safari a little late, but...

The safari will take about 25 minutes (minimum) and that's from the time you get on the vehicle to the time you get off. Even with the FP, it can take 5-10 minutes to load and another 5 or so to unload...then you have a few minute walk to Tusker House.

If you could, I'd probably try to move the safari FP to after your brunch. You could then do the FoLK at 10 and then Tusker House at 10:45.

OK. That's what I thought.

So I moved my Safari FP from 9-10am (hoping to get there closer to 9) (It is a EMH day and we are staying at AKL but not sure if we will rush there at 8)

If we get there on time we can do Safari, LK w/o FP then TH (I don't want to change this as we want breakfast for lunch which works for the 2 year old). We have nemo at 1230.

Was thinking we would only stay til nap time (and be driving home) but we will see.

That's better. I would encourage you to hit the Safari right at 9:00. That way you'll have time to get over to FoLK. I don't think you'll have any problems getting in the 10:00 show without a FP, but it wouldn't hurt to get over there a little early.

You won't really need a Safari FP the first hour or so as the line moves very fast or for the 10am Lion King Show. We were there on Saturday and got to the park right at 9. We went straight to the safari and did that. Then we headed to the Lion King. We made it with about 3 minutes to spare. When the Lion King lets out, you would be right at Tusker House for your 10:45 ADR so that would be perfect timing.

In fact, we hardly ever make FP for AK. We usually do it over two mornings and then save our FP for whatever park we visit that night. We've never had a problem with lines at AK in the mornings.

You should be OK with this. You might want to rush a bit after FotLK to make it to Tusker by 10:45, but it's right next door so you should be fine.
