I've been to AK three times and each time my family rushed through it and we only did Countdown to Extinction, Kali Rapids, and the Safari. Are there any good shows or other attractions that I should do when I go? (I don't have kids and I'll be with my boyfriend who's 21)

I personally like the Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, and Flights of Wonder. I think they are all great not to be missed shows. I usually take 2 days for the AK. One day for rides, the next for shows. I am usually out of there right after lunch. It seems to work out great. Hope this helps!!:)

Festival of the lion King is a not to miss - kids or no kids - the show is just amazing!

DH and I love to do the 2 jungle treks as well...walking paths - one in Asia and one in Africa (right where you get off the Safari Ride)

i've personally never seen Tarzan rocks - but I hear it's really good (we always seem to miss it)

there are some great street performers in Harambe, Africa as well...stick around, they put on a great show...right near the Dawa bar.

there is It's tough to be a Bug 3d show as well - that's at the base of the Tree of Life.

plus - there is the train to the 'conservation station'...we usually kill an hour or so there. It's more 'educational' than 'thrill ride' of course.

Both Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder are good. We've never seen Tarzan Rocks... It's Tough to be a Bug is very cute also. And if you really take your time on the trails in Asia and Africa it's definitely worth it! We like to sit in the aviaries for a while and try to spot all of the birds. There are CM's by each animal that are more than happy to answer any questions. When we take our time we can spend an hour or so on each trail and not get bored. On our last trip we found that going around 1 or 2 until it closes at 5 is perfect. The park is fairly empty, plus the animals know that they'll be fed soon so they're more active - this is the only time we've seen the tigers do something other than sleep;)

I agree, Festival of the Lion King should not be missed (seen it over 100 times and never get tired of it), Tarzan Rocks is good also. If your interested in the Tree of Life, there is a trail on each side of the tree that will take you real close to the tree and close to some of the carvings. If you haven't been on Dinasour...you have to try it, it is a great ride. Have fun, this is my favorite park.

Lion King is a not-to-be-missed show. Definatly see this. Tarzan is good too, but it has a somewhat more aquired taste. I personally prefer it to Lion King but lots of people arn't fond of it. I say give it a try.

I would also recogmend doing the Maharajah trail in Aisia and Pangani Forest in Africa. Both are very nice- great theming and some of the best animal habitats I've ever seen. I particularly like the tiger habitat at Maharajah.

Primevial Whirl in Dinoland is fun too though I wouldn't call it a must-see. If you have time in the afternoon and the lines or short (or you get a FastPass) give it a try.

I agree with all the other posters on the Not to Miss shows and trails! One thing I would add would be not to miss riding "Dinosaur." It's alot of fun and it's located to the right hand side of Dinoland.
