I will be hitting AK at rope drop and be there until at least 12:45. NO Fastpasses because I have them for MK for later that night. What should my ride order be?
I was thinking....

Everest
Safari
Kali
Nemo- 11
Dinosaur
Dawa Bar

Opinions?

are you going on an EMH? the schedule looks good except for kali--you will be soaked. so, unless you want to walk around in wet clothing or thinking about changing you might want to do that last. just a thought.

A. NO EMH. The park opens at 9 AM. Just getting there early.

B. I am bringing a change of clothes. We are renting a locker at MK.

Looks good to me but I would maybe move Dinosaur before Nemo unless the times wont work. I would do the Safari first then Everest maybe, I think everyone goes to the Safari first ( most arriving just after park opening ) because the animals are out more before it starts getting hot.

With the exception of the first month that Everest opened, we have always gone to the Safari first and Everest second. And we have always walked on to Everest, usually riding it twice in succession and sometimes three times in a row. Conversely, if you go to Everest first and ride it once or twice and then head to the Safari, you could encounter a line that has built up to 40+ minutes already. So I would do the Safari first, and then head over to Asia/Dinoland.

It looks great, but I'd do the Safari first too, as then you won't be backtracking. What a perfect way to end, at the Dawa bar! Love relaxing there, people watching. :goodvibes

on the safari being first. Last trip Everest had a short line after the initial rush. At 10 it was maybe a 5-10 minute wait. The single rider line was open and almost non existent.

Yeah ... unless something unusual is going on that day (large school group clogging up the works, breakdowns, etc) then Everest usually doesn't generate much of a wait until around lunchtime. So many people flood back to the safari area first thing when the park opens and then wander around the Pagani Trail while they're back there that Everest kind of takes awhile to back up. If you FP the safari for later in the morning you can generally get a couple of licks in on Everest with no real issues.

I agree with others to make Safari 1st, then Everest, then Kali (while you're in the Asia area). YOu get 2 hours with the free Kali river lockers, thouigh even with a FP you may be waiting in line for 30 min, so there goes some of that time.

Why are you trying to only do 1/2 day @ AK? We were there 5/6 and were there from opening to closing, there is so much to do, we wished it were open longer! The flight of wonder show is great and shady break, the trails are really worth it, especially the bird watching areas - beautiful birds will be only a few feet from you. My husband and son also liked Primeval Whorl coaster in Dino land> I just found AK so pretty and colorful and "different" than MK or that it was actually relaxing to be there. I hate idea of getting back to the mass of scooters and strollers and crowds that is MK in the afternoon- though it is much more tolerable at night. I would give AK more time. It really clears out after the parade, and you can walk onto almost anythng except EE, Kali and Safari.

Thanks for the tips! We are going to AK on our MK 24 hour day. We are going to AK in the am. We have to be back to MK by 1:30 for our BOG FP lunch. We are planning to come back to AK Sunday for the Jammin Jungle parade.
