AK parking before park opens

I know in the past people have had problems parking for ADRs before the park opens (i.e., 8:00 a.m. ADR, park opens at 9:00).. is this still the case? We have an 8:05 ADR at AK in December and were wondering if we're going to have trouble getting into the parking lot that early (we're renting a car). Anyone have any recent experience with this?? TIA!!!

The lot generally opens at about 7:45. We always have the first ADR there and never have a problem parking and getting in on time.

We had an 8:05 am ADR for Donald's in July and I believe the parking lot opened at 7:30. No problem at all...
