AK or MGM

I only have 3 days -- one for MK one for Epcot and then what for the third ?
AK closes soo early , but I don;t find that much at MGM -- what would you do ?

If you have Park Hoppers, both! If you have to choose, I'd do AK. Then you could spend the evening at Downtown Disney.

I agree... if you have hopper passes do both. AK first (it closes early) and then MGM. That way you could end your day with SpectroMagic!! If you're only doing 3 days the best way is to really go for it. Sleep when you get back to work.

ps: If you've already bought your tickets and they don't have the hopper option you can have it added to your ticket when you get to Disney.

You can easily do both in one day. Hit AK when it opens and leave shortly after lunch, then do MGM until close. If you're not too beat, stay for Fantasmic. I'm always amazed at how quickly I zip through these parks when I'm traveling through at a normal pace. If you must pick, I love AK!

We like AK over MGM. When we do everything in the park, it will take pretty much the entire day.

Depending on the day you plan, do both. What we do is go to AK when it has early entry, then hop over to MGM. Make the most of your day. If it's not a busy time of year, you can hit both parks in one day.

The main attractions at AK were nice, like the safari. But we were ready to go after just a few hours. I could spend more time at MGM, myself.

Agreed, we prefer MGM. I would try to hit the early morning hour for AK then head over to MGM. If you have never seen Fantasmic, you really should see it. You need to be there roughly 1 hour before the show. Later, if you don't mind what seat you get.

MGM is a very nice small park. The only problem is that if you want to see the shows that are offered there, you need to plan around the times the shows are offered.

You didn't mention who you would be going with. That will make a difference on how you plan your day.

Depends on who is in your group. My 12 yr old DS's favorite park (after MK) is now AK. He loves Dinosaur, KS, TTBAB, Primeval Whirl, the animal trails, Kali River Rapids. So if it was just my son and myself, we'd do AK (I also now LOVE this park). But if you asked my DH and DD (15) they'd say MGM, as they love TOT, RRNC, Star Tours, Muppets, the stunt shows, Millionnaire. It's a really hard choice. If you can, park hop, doing AK attractions early and then hitting what you really like at MGM. and end the day with Fantasmic.
