AK or DHS if you could only choose 1

So we're going to Disney in June and I just saw that it is Star Wars weekend when we will be there.

We'll be there for 5 days and DHS is red for all of those days except 1 day that we had already earmarked for MK. MK is only green for 2 days of our trip and we tend to spend the most time there.

Here's my question. Would you skip DHS on a red day (according to easywdw.com) and do AK? Or should I brave the crowds at DHS?

As long as you use Rope Drop or in the evening when Fantastmic is playing, you should still be ok. You also have 3 FP plus to use also. I would say Star Tours, Great Movie Ride, Muppets 3D, Indiana Jones Show, Art of Animation, Backlot Tour, if you plan well you can see those things without a FP. TSM needs a FP unless you ride it first thing in the morning. TOT there are times of the day usually during Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast the lines can go from 100 minute wait to 10 minutes. Rockn Roll you can ride single rider line too.

That might be a good day to go to AKP.

TC :cool1:

It depends if you're interested in Star Wars and how much you want to do the big attractions at DHS. The Animal Kingdom will probably be more pleasant (relatively speaking, given the heat) in terms of crowds, but it comes down to interest in attractions I think.

I would NOT go to DHS on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of Star Wars Weekends unless I was a really big Star Wars fan and wanted to do all of the SWW activities. The park (everything from the rides to the walkways to the restaurants) is totally mobbed. I'm used to traveling during busy seasons and I don't mind them, but SWW is quite something else!

If you are staying on property with park hoppers, I would say use your 3 fp+ at DHS for the evening and hit AK up in the morning. We love both parks. I would hit the highlights at AK and finish my day at DHS.

I've never been during SWW so I don't know how crowded the rides really are. I'd imagine most people are there for the SW stuff.

As little as I care for DHS, there is no way I'd skip it if this were a first time trip. Everyone's tastes are different and I think it's important to find out for yourselves which parks are your favorites.

If you've been before, you can probably figure this out without my help :)

You're right about that. I can't imagine a trip without TSM, but don't want to deal with horrible crowds. Maybe I could just use Fast Pass + and then visit Animal Kingdom. Thanks for your input.
