AK on 4th of July, am I crazy?

We only have one day at Disney (the 4th), so I booked AK because it’s my daughters favorite park and I figured since it didn’t have fireworks it wouldn’t be as crowded. But I’ve had several moms tell me I’m nuts for doing AK on the 4th because it’s going to be packed until nighttime and they won’t even have the animals out. Did I
make a huge mistake?

It may be busy but I’m not sure why people are telling you the animals won’t be out? It will be a normal day for the animals at AK.

Crowds are predicted to be average at AK on Jul 4th. Go and have fun!!!

I don't think you made a mistake. Of all the parks I'd think AK would be the least crowded, however, that park always feels crowded because of how it's designed.

The animals will be out unless they are hiding in the shade, etc.

Not sure if you are eligible, but the park opens at 7:30am for on-site guests. I'd take advantage of that if you can.
