This is our favorite parade and we have the CD with the music but we need the lyrics. Does anyone know where we can find them?

Also, what are the names of the songs that are mixed in?

My 9 year old is listening to all 17+ minutes of this multiple times a day - we need to start singing this right :woohoo: .

I'm trying different google searches and found this on another post - /www.disboards.com/showthread.php?referrerid=93883&t=802558

The Rhythm of One

And you are me

We all belong
And we all get to see
We’re just one great big family.
Here we go now!
So sing it out
Let’s bark and growl and screech and roar!
And dance along
Let’s stomp and jump and leap and soar.
Enjoy the adventure the party’s begun
We’re jamming in the jungle to the rhythm of one

Jam everyone clap along now!
That’s it – don’t be shy.
There you go!
My friends are you ready for the party?
Yeah!
I said are you ready for the party?
Yeah!
Then let us go!

So sing it out!
And Bark and growl and screech and roar
And dance along
and Stomp and jump and leap and soar
Enjoy the adventure the party’s begun
We’re jamming in the jungle to the rhythym of one

And bark And growl And screech And roar
And stomp And jump And leap and soar

ajcolorado--you are great! :cheer2: :thumbsup2

This is my favorite parade, and I have never seen the lyrics actually written out! Now, I know I will walk around singing this all evening. . .not that that will annoy DH or anything! :teeth:

More Info:

(As posted) the songs are:

"The Rhythm of One", "Pata Pata", "Mas Que Nada", "IKO IKO" and a bit of "Remember the Magic".

About "Pata Pata" and "Mas Que Nada":

If you're a bit younger, you don't know, but these were actually two popluar songs in the '60's and 70's.

Yes, they were played on music stations (not "Top 40" rock stations) around the country.

"Mas Que Nada" was very popular and performed by Sergio Mendez's "Brazil '66" (vocal group).

"Pata Pata" was made popular in the US by Meriam Makeba, an African singer.

Popular performers who have recorded "IKO IKO" are:

CYNDI LAUPER
WARREN ZEVON
AARON CARTER

I was surprised and happy to hear these songs used again in such a FUN parade.

"The Rhythm of One" and "Remember the Magic"
are Disney originals.

NOTE:
Whenever you want to find out LYRICS of any song...

GOOGLE for the name of the song followed by the word "lyrics".

My kids always sing "Nana nana swashed swashed banana!!!! :lmao:
We had no idea what the words were but we sang along anyway.

Thank you for the information about the songs - I appreciate it alot! I have heard "Mas Que Nada" various times but didn't know the name and would like to buy the CD. I go through life with this sense that I should know certain things - like, more about Brazilian music - but I don't. It is really nice that there are others who are willing to share from their wealth of knowlege.

Just in case you were wondering..
Pata means to dance, so Pata Pata = Dance Dance
Mas que nada means "What? No way!"
and Iko Iko doesn't mean anything "it's just nonsense"

lol this is according to the handy info thing that Africa Operations gave us during parade training.. those are some catchy tunes, let me tell you. still stuck in my head from hours ago :rolleyes1
