• Will keep the first post updated with changes I'm doing!
• I color-coded the activities by "type"
• We are staying on Pop Century and relying 100% on Disney transportation, I don't have a driver's license yet

Itinerary:
thu09th - check-in (4pm), ADR @ Beaches&Cream 9:20pm
fri10th - HS day, ADR @ 50's Prime Time Cafe 12:20pm
sat11th - MK day
sun12th - AK day, ADR @ Sanaa 8:45pm
mon13th - Universal
tue14th - EP day
wed15th - Universal
thu16th - MK day, ADR @ Crystal Palace 9:35am / Whispering Canyon Cafe 8:05pm
fri17th - check-out (we have to leave to the airport around noon) ADR @ Cape May Cafe 8:40am (hopefully will be able to change to a O'Hana breakfast)

should I change MK from the 11th to the 15th?
I have duplicate ADRs both on 11th and 15th, so that's not an issue, I just need to cancel whatever day I'm going to Universal

Magic Kingdom Days
sighhhhhhh still need to figure out these (and still hoping for a BOG lunch, dinner would be ideal tough)

I have no idea what we are going to do on Universal and it's driving me crazy

will keep changing up as needed!

As I look at the initial Fps posted, you state that you want the last time for the Safari. Then you list several other rides for which you are planning to use a Fastpass. You will only be able to make 3 FP+ choices when you originally log on. When you use (or the time expires on) the first three, you will need to visit a kiosk at the park to pick one more at a time. With all that you want to accomplish, you may end up standing in lots of lines, first waiting to schedule new FP+s or just waiting in standby lines. Never been to AK in Oct., so not sure what the waits will be like.

We were there the first week of Oct last year and so these suggestions are on the assumption that crowd levels will be similar.

You won't need a fast pass for Dinosaur if you go right that way when you get there. We had a FP+ for it at opening last year and didn't need it, the line was walk on early.

Most likely you also won't need a fast pass for Tough to be a Bug.

I've heard great things about doing the Safari later on the day, and I want to "end" it on Africa. Well, I'm planning to get FPs for the rides with the most SB lines, so I don't think SB lines will much of an issue? At least I hope so!
Are the FP+ lines that bad? ): They should just let us schedule them on the app, sigh

Hmmm, I'm just worried because we don't want to run to dinosaur, would like to actually walk a bit on the Oasis and go to the Wilderness Explorers booth thing and all that. I heard they open the Oasis area and Discovery Island early, if that happens it wouldn't be an issue, but what if they don't? ):

What do you suggest I FP+ if I decided to not do so on dinosaur?

Thank you for the tips!

I think I'm finished with my AK day! Please tell me what you guys think (:
I laid out a basic plan, and would like to do everything, but no worries if we don't. I just really wanna complete the Wilderness Explorers book thingie haha

Looks like you have it all laid out!! :thumbsup2 Isn't it crazy that WE FEEL we need to do all this planning now. I remember the days of just GOING.... throwing all caution to the wind. :rolleyes: Now we are all planners, worriers, stressed out, and making lists and downloading apps, taking our smart phones, ipads and laptops on our vacations. :crazy2:

It's our first trip to Disney, so I don't know how it was before FP+ and all that D:

However, I wanted to have a good idea of what to do and in what order we would go on the parks. When I was 14 I went to Disneyland with a tour group (kinda?) and didn't have any friends so just ended up by myself. I spent all day walking around not too sure on what to do, and finished my day sobbing on Toontown because I felt like I "wasted" that day doing nothing. I feel sad just remembering it. ):

So I promised that I would have a somewhat decent plan for every day.

My biggest worry right now is Epcot. I think I'm being too ambitious, wanting to do way too many things in there, stop at the stores, snack around the world... On HS however, we have plenty of time. On MK we have two days so plenty of time (I hope at least....)

edit: oh, and thank you for the reply :3

GOOD LUCK...... you might end up throwing it all out the window when you get there. :rotfl2: I think sometimes we don't really know how each day will go until we get there. However, since it is your first trip..... it's probably great that you are researching and planning. :thumbsup2

perhaps! i kinda hope i don't feel bad for not going off-track if i feel like doing so or if something happens! i keep saying to myself to follow it but don't be crazy about it haha

yes! hopefully won't have a meltdown over it again :p

and this is how my HS day looks so far. not too bad I hope? if we can ride some of the big rides twice, great, if not, it's okay, we'll just hang out and enjoy ourselves and see some other stuff? i'm excited for the character palooza, I have the feeling it will be the main thing for me in the afternoon haha
shame we don't have this extra time on epcot ;___;

* TSMM - FP+ (get FP+ for RnR)
* Breakfast @ Starring Rolls
* Voyage of the Little Mermaid
* Star Tours - FP+
* One Man’s Dream
* The Magic of Disney Animation
* ADR = 50’s Prime Time Cafe 12:20
* idk, but be in time for Character Palooza
* RnR (4th FP+)
* ToT - FP+
* Get food and seats @ Fantasmic!

Why not try this?

RnR standby at opening
then ToT standby
breakfast at Starring Rolls
Little Mermaid
Toy Story with FP+

then continue on with your day.

you might not be able to get a 4th and 5th FP+ for RnR and ToT (I think that's what you're planning, not sure I totally understand your plan though.) At park opening RnR and ToT will have very short lines. We always hit those first and never wait very long. Schedule your FP+ for Toy Story, Star Tours and choose something else (Great Movie Ride?) and you won't even need a 4th one, but if it's available you can choose another go on RnR or ToT. If it's not available then no big deal because you will have already done them.

I think what Belle Stitch was saying is that you have three FP+ chosen, (Dinosaur, Everest, and the Safari.) You want the 6pm safari, so you won't be able to book any other fastpasses until AFTER you use the 6pm one. So you won't be able to get them for the others you have listed through the day (ITTBAB and such). You have to use all three of your initial picks before you can go to the kiosk and schedule another one.

Am I making any sense? LOL!

Also, are you doing Nemo twice? You have it listed at 11 am and again in the afternoon? You have an awful lot planned for before lunch, unless you plan a late lunch? I haven't done the Wilderness Explorers thing but I would guess each station would take approx 20min or so, FOW is 30 min, Nemo is 45, time to walk the trails without rushing, Rafiki's will take at least 45 min with train ride out and back .

AK is our favorite park, very laid back compared to MK ...... we love it. We like to find Divine and watch her for a bit too!

..... Oh.... I thought you would be able to make a new FP+ as long as you used ONE of your first initial ones ): Booh, that screws up p much all of my plans haha

now with the newer info I have this makes more sense haha. I made these FP+ decisions because of tiering, TSMM is on the same tier then RnR so I couldn't FP+ both (otherwise I would've). So my first 3 FP+ would be TSMM, Star Tours and ToT, 4th FP for RnR right after getting out. but your suggestions actually sounds smarter and more efficient, so I think I'm going to use them! thank you very much!!! what time should i get FP+ for TSMM to be in a non-rushed schedule?

As long as you can be at the park when it opens, my plan works really well. If you're late you'll have longer waits.

We usually ride RnR twice and ToT once and get to Starring Rolls before 10:00. That's when the park is scheduled to open at 9:00, and they usually let you in by 8:45. So, if you allow half an hour to eat breakfast, that would be 10:30, then half an hour or so for Little Mermaid. I would make the Toy Story FP+ for somewhere around 10:45-11:45 or so. That gives you some room if you are running a little early or a little late. If you only want to ride RnR once, then you should be to Starring Rolls by 9:45, done with breakfast by 10:15, out of Little Mermaid by 10:45, etc. Just move everything up by 15 minutes. Make your Toy Story FP+ for 10:30-11:30 or something like that.

Then you will probably have time for One Man's Dream before lunch at 50's Prime Time. After lunch you can do Star Tours, Great Movie Ride (if you're interested in that), Animation, and whatever else you want to do -- just work those things around Characterpalooza time. :goodvibes

Aaaaah thank you! Such great advice, thank you so much! ˚‧*♡ॢ˃̶̤̀◡˂̶̤́♡ॢ*‧˚

I'll do that, and well, if we can get away with riding the big rides more than once, I'm all for it!

Star Tours is usually w/o long lines? Should I use a FP+?
I think FP+ for TSMM, Star Tours and... another ToT on late afternoon would be cool?

Wow. My wife thinks I'm a freak because I have all meals planned and ADR'd, three FP+ per day and Dessert Parties set up. Just remember that it rains in Orlando, A-LOT. That will slow you down or speed you up depending.

Yeah, your plans look great aside from the 4th FP+. You have to use all three initially booked FP+ (or let their windows expire) before you can go to a kiosk and get a 4th.

Haha, I just feel safer with a plan. In case I freak out and don't know what to do, I can always look at my phone and carry on with the "plan". I get panicky v easily! It's out first time at WDW and I freaked out a lot just by looking at how much stuff there is... I know we won't do everything, but even crossing stuff out I'm afraid something will happen ):
I'm used to walking around with heavy rain, we'll have ponchos all set, thank you!

changing it accordingly!

DINOSAUR - SB line early!
Everest - 9:30-10
Festival of the Lion King - 5PM/4pm, depends on Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro Safari - last slot available(6PM?)

I just hope we don't get a long line @ dinosaur... I don't want to rush but I don't want to stay on the SB line for more than 20min ):

For a 1st timer you did very well. You broke up AK into sections and then made a plan. My favorite park, so I will just tell you one thing re- characters you seem to know where they are but I don't want you to think they are just wandering around. Since you want to do the Explorers Club you'll want to meet Russell and Dug I would imagine. :thumbsup2

here is a great place to get hints, times, etc for meeting the characters:

www.kennythepirate.com

You are going to have so much fun !!!

and WELCOME to the Dis !! :cheer2:

I suppose they'll have some kind of meeting place and line, which kinda worries me, because I'm willing to spend time on character lines but at the same time worry that I'll not get enough time to do so. ): will check the website and see if I can plan the meetings a lil bit better, thank you!
Yes, yes I want! They look so cute, will they be at the Wilderness Explorers booth? I wonder if I'll be able to show my complete booklet to them :goodvibes:

I hope so!!! And thaaaank you!!! :3
