AK Dining Question

I've booked Yak and Yeti for lunch at AK because we really enjoyed it last visit (2012). However, we are trying to save some money this year with dining (don't have dining plan). Should we still go here for a sit down lunch, or would be just has happy with a quick service option at AK? I haven't been to AK in so long, nor have I done quick service there, so I don't know what the options are. I do remember hearing some good things about Flame Tree BBQ.

I would look over the menus of the QS options at AK and see if there's something that interests me. Harambe Market has some unique offerings.

We have never been to Yak & Yeti but I have heard that they are excellent. That being said if you aren't on the dining plan and if eating somewhere cheaper means you have more money to spend on maybe a souvenir or something, then I would say go with the quick service option. I can't do quick service with my family bc my kids have sensory issues and quick service will just cause them to have a total melt down, but I have heard that AK does have the best options for quick service and when I was briefly looking at menus I did glance at some quick service bc I was debating on getting the food and eating somewhere else. Anyways they did have a nice assortment of food available.

We ate at Harambe earlier this year and enjoyed it. It is a good non-burger/chicken finger QS option.

We ate at the Yak & Yeti last week. We thought it was good, but not great. We could tell it wasn't Disney run, with the way they handle allergies. But we saved money by using a Landry's gift card, that I got through our Discover card rewards.

For us, Y&Y is a must do every trip. We love the food, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. There are some great QS meals in AK as well, Harambe has several items that we enjoyed.

There is the Yak and Yeti Local Food Café which is the quick service of the Y&Y. It isn't as large a menu, but it does have overlap. We haven't tried it, but I've heard good things. It's probably worth looking at the menu as it would save money. Have fun!

I love the qs options at ak. I don't think you can go wrong w any of the options
