AK day; look okay, too ambitious?

Regarding the comments to show up early at TH: TH won't even look up your reservation until 15 minutes before your scheduled arrival. So there's no point in going there a half hour early and thinking you'll be seated. You'll be told to wait and come back in 15 minutes to check in. At least that's been my experience every single time I've gone to TH.

Also, to think the TH meal will be over in an hour--maybe not. First of all, you may wait to be seated no matter when you arrive. And you might want to spend time there, make sure you and your kids enjoy the characters and the food, etc.

Because of the above, if your schedule were mine, I'd rope drop EE and change the TH reservation to 10 am. Then the safari and FoP FP+s will be fine.

BTW, it's often quite easy to get your 4th FP+ for Na'vi River Journey. And it's possible to get your 4th FP+ for FoP as well. I know, because I've done both.

If you're going to be in DAK in the evening, keep in mind that the posted standby wait times for both FoP and NRJ are more and more exaggerated the closer it gets to park closing. If FoP says it's a 90-minute wait and the park closes in an hour, the wait's probably more like 20 or 30 minutes, max. Same with NRJ. NRJ, btw, is often a walk-on close to park close.

Enjoy DAK and remember to just walk around and stare at everything. The place is quite beautiful. It's my favorite WDW park (if you couldn't tell). Also, I love both TH and Y&Y. I think you've made great choices. Have a wonderful day at DAK!

We were there mid June and Navi was never a FP option. I would think early August would be busy and not available.

Not sure what ever gave you this idea.....but I haven’t found that to be the case, as long as you aren’t headed to Pandora!

AK morning EMH had always been one of the most relaxed and productive of the morning hours IMHO, and that was before Pandora. Now that everyone heads to FOP you can have EE and Dinoland all to yourself. You could ride EE multiple times in the morning instead of using a FP, freeing you up to get something else.

I’d go for the EMH!!

Just everything I’ve read makes it sound crowded and fairly chaotic. Makes sense that once it’s open, not heading towards Pandora would be a good move.

Very good point about walking on EE and freeing up that FP, thanks!

If we’re up we’ll definitely do EMH but the day before will be after a red eye with brunch, maybe 3 rides at AK, pool time, and dinner at Jiko planned. I want us to recoup quickly from the red eye and the only thing that works for me is not sleeping after the flight and getting a full night plus sleep if need be the following day sleeping in a little. I am a fan of the mindset behind EMH though.

Unless you are trying to get in the FOP line I think EMH at AK are fine. We had no issues doing Everest and Dinoland first thing.

Sanaa has a QS breakfast if you are looking for another option at AKL.

We enjoyed ROL and I think it is worth doing at least once to see what you think. I know you said the menu did not interest you but Tiffins is excellent. We had a good experience at Yak and Yeti TS but that was a couple of years ago. We did their QS last trip and it was pretty good.

:thanks: I had no idea Sanaa had a QS option for breakfast! :woohoo: That’s great news. I will keep Boma in case but move it if we decide to sleep in now that we’ve got Sanaa as an option.

Tiffins reviews are great and DH may want to try it but at this point, he won’t look at menus until we are on the plane. ;) If it looks good to him, we’ll go for it. A couple things look okay but nothing really rocks my world. What’s incredible there?

I cancelled TH. DH said he’d rather not do a character meal unless I really wanted to and truth be told, it’s not a must for me. I did make a Boma reservation though in case were up early and starving.

We will be in DAK in the evening, thanks for the tips on posted wait times. Disneyland does the same thing. A couple weeks ago BTMRR was posted at 30 and it ended up being a walk on.

I would love to get a 4th for Na’vi and good to know the line may be short near closing. We have FOP FP the day before our official AK day and then again on our departure day. I think 3x on FOP might be enough but everyone seems to love it so maybe not. Lol!

I think it’ll be busy too but hopefully we’ll get lucky. pixiedust:

I had the Wagyu beef at Tiffins. I believe i had an octopus app and a mousse dessert. The app was okay but I really enjoyed the main course and dessert. We had the ROL package and thought it was worth it.

DH does enjoy Wagyu. If I could get him to look at a menu that would be helpful.....:lmao: I watched a partial video of ROL last night and I think its looks good; relaxing and pretty.
