wondering what the best plan is for what time to get to Ak tomorrow. Our first FP is for 8:05 for FoP. Would you absolutely recommend trying to get there for the 7AM opening? And if so, what time should we get to the park? If we try to make it there by 8, is that stupid or would we still be ok? We are at MK all day today and I know we will stay until close. It's our last Park day tomorrow. But it might be tough to do the 7 AM start. Looking for ideas/advice. Thanks!

If your FP is 8:05 I don't see a need to be there before 8. You have until 9:05 to get in line. If you plan on rope dropping NRJ then maybe get there earlier. Otherwise I'd say 8.

I guess it depends if you are trying to do Navi on standby and if you want to have the shortest wait in line possible for your FOP FP+. If you want the shortest line possible and do Navi on standby, then get there about 1 hour before park opening, so about 6am, maybe 6:30am. If you don't mind waiting in a line, probably even 30+ minutes, for your FOP FP+, then you can get there at 8am. Keep in mind, that there will be a lot of people getting there before you, and they all need to go through bag check, the metal detectors, and the tapstiles. That's over an hours worth of people that got there before you. You can probably still do Navi standby with less than a 30 minute wait even getting there about 8am. At least that seems to be what I have read; I haven't seen it in person, just been doing my due diligence for my August trip. Personally, we plan to get to the park and hour or more before park opening, even on an AM EMH day, 8am opening.

Since tomorrow (Monday is an EMH morning at MK) there is definitely benefit in getting there before the 7:00 am opening. But, this has more to do with if you are wanting to do FoP and/or NRJ standby (in addition to your FoP fp).

On June 10 EMH morning we got to the park at 6:30 am (planned to get there earlier, but you know how that getting up after a long day in the park thing goes). We were in line about even with the ticket windows getting there at that time (there were 2 lines formed). They started letting people through the tapstiles at 6:40, held us at the end of the bridge before the turn down the road to Pandora until 6:45 - we walked (didn't run like others) and got to FoP a few minutes later, started the long walk through the queue, never stopped walking - just got loaded right into a room when we arrived - and were back outside at 7:15. Walked onto Navi with a posted 5 minute wait. We were done with both rides by 7:30.

Everything else in AK had absolutely no waits up until at least 9:00.
