AirTran web fares!

i've been holding off on airfare for our november trip, hoping prices would come down. they're showing $207pp on travelocity right now, which isn't bad.

i happened to check out air tran's site tonight and bought 3 r/t tickets for $439, everything included! we layover at atlanta, but i couldn't pass it up, since this is a budget trip (air and asmu for 10 nights=$1050 for 3 of us & we already have ap's)!

anything i need to know about laying over at atlanta...like how far will i have to run from one air tran gate to the next to catch our connecting flight?

I think that all of Airtran's flights arive and depart from basically the same area (Concourse C). Check out the Atlanta Airport site:

We did this in April of this year and it was fine. The Air Tran gates are all by one another. We did have a short walk from one end of their terminal to the other end but we made it with no problems (even dragging 2 kids and 6 carry-ons!!!).

The lay over was not that bad. There are a lot of restaurants. We also had packed a few things for everyone to do during this time.

We also could not pass up their great web special. On a side note, they had way over booked the flight so we took a bump and ended up with <b>2</b> round trip tickets per person (that made 8 tickets for our family of 4)!! As a result, we are going back 2 more times! It was sad not to get there when we had planned on it but giving up the 1/2 day was really worth the 2 upcoming trips we have planned.
