Airtran prices dropped for my days

For the past 2 months, I have been searching Airtran and SW (daily) for prices and pretty much they were comparable at about $150 to $160. Last Friday I noticed that Airtran went to $110, but not during my time and they were multiple stops. So, today I go on and not only did they have a one way, non stop for $110 (both ways!), they also had my perfect times. Arriving at Disney by 10am and Departing Disney at 4pm. Score for me!:banana::banana:Even with the cost of luggage $80 (round trip), I am saving almost $300 difference with Airtran versus SW and I got my seat assignments. :)

Keep checking your flights daily for deals and times. If you don't find it, refresh and try again. It can change even in 10 minutes. I only paid $70 more in 2012 than I did in 2008. :)

That is great!!!! :goodvibes

I wish it would happen for me. I check Southwest daily and the lowest it goes is $143 each way for our trip in June. I have never paid more than $100 each way to fly to MCO -- EVER! It's killing me. I'm getting to the point, I am going to book at the $143 and then rebook and take the credit if it goes down - just in case.

Congrats on a great deal!

I just went and checked mine and found nonstop for the same price I already booked mine with a plane change. :sad1: When I'm running through the airport with my a 5 year old and 9 month old I will be cursing the airfare gods.

I'd book it. From your ticker it seems you travel often, so you could use that credit, and it might very well not go down or stay the same!

Are you booked with an airline that allows changes for free? Airtrain, Southwest, Jet Blue, Alaska (I think that's all but there might be a couple more). If so, change it! If not, don't ever look after you've booked.

Keep an eye on your flight times. The sometimes change them, you can change them if they don't work.

We had a layover in Atlanta one time and they changed the first leg to an earlier time, which meant hanging in the airport for longer. I asked if it was possible for all 6 of us to get on an earlier flight out of Atlanta to Orlando and they changed us no problem.

Congrats! I also got an email today from Southwest that they have dropped some of their flights. You had travel on Tues/Wed and before Jun 13th, so it didn't work for us but it might for someone else.

Can u get credit on AirTran? I heard of a 75 change fee or something?? Can u get credit if booked price drops on AT?

I have read repeatedly that Airtran will change the fare if it drops, without a fee. I have never used them at all, but I've read it countless times on the Transportation forum by people I trust.
