Airtran Next Year 2012

Has anyone booked Airtran for next year since the merger with southwest?

They are still operating separately for awhile. I believe Air Tran is now taking reservations through May 5.

I saw an article last week that the pilot's contracts will not be fully combined until 2014.

We booked in July for the end of Feb. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed for baggage fees and seat assignments and we will still be flying under the AirTran contract of carriage.

WN doesn't service GRR. What would they do first? merge the flights at airports where both WN and FL service? Or switch the signage at FL only airports? Or just cancel flights where WN won't continue service?

I predict more expensive flights to disney world after AirTran disappears.

I just booked MIL's flights between DC and Orlando, round trip $69 each way for a week in May. SW was $212 each way! I would love for her to have free luggage, but don't know if that will happen by then. It would be awesome because she travels with a suitcase for clothes and a suitcase for shoes.
