Airtran Luggage Fees

This is the first time I'm flying where I will be charged the checked bag fees.

There are 3 of us and we each have one bag to check. I'm assuming this will cost $45 since it's $15 per bag and we are each checking one. Or will they try to lump them all together and charge us $15 for the first, $25 for the second and $50 for the third? That would be sneaky of them.

What has been your experience?

It's 15.00 for each bag since you have one per person. So you are right with your 45.00 guess.

And it's each way so they get you going and coming home unfortunately.

Connie's right. I paid $15.00 for my bag coming & going each way. DD paid & so did friend.

Then they made sure our bags were'nt buldging in the front? I had to take the purses I had packed in the large pocket out from the front & redistribute throughout the inside
