AirTran flights are now available for booking through Dec. 17

I have been checking every day for Dec. 6-17 to open, and today the flights are loaded. However, the fares are all VERY high, so wait a few days for fares to come down.

Uh oh! I need DFW to MCO Nov 26th and Dec 4th. I just checked and there are none posted. I entered several other cities as my departure city and they're there. Flights out of Dallas are the only ones not showing up. With the Wright Ammendment Southwest can't fly out of DFW. One of the things I was dreading about Southwest taking over was losing the Air Tran flights out of DFW. I bought airfare for my Sept trip yesterday, so know they're flying out of DFW at least that long. I wonder if they won't be come late Nov? I was hoping it would be at least into 2012 before they stopped flights out of DFW.

call Airtran and ask if they dropped that flight, if you remember the flt numbers it will help... so good luck

I have been checking too I bought the flight down so I knew I get the cheapest flight and it would not sell out but the flight back home was just released and they have to be kidding....so will keep checking to see and hope it goes down alot... $89 is good even $99. not sure I want to go higher so we need tons of pixie dust

All that shows up when you put DFW as the departing airport for those dates is: 'We're sorry. There are no available flights for selected dates'. If you change the departure airport to anywhere else, flights appear. I refuse to fly Southwest out of Dallas Lovefield, so it looks like I'd better start keeping an eye on American Airlines.

I would call the airline and ask if they dropped service or check the airport website and check the airline destinations from there....I did read on the boards of things changing in Dallas I just do not know the airports, Sorry My airport only had one flight that went out and in like 3 times a week now they are offering 2 flights back and forth on those days but that was before SW bought them, so I am scared too, cause if they drop the service altogether I may have to sell my DVC membership cause it would not work for me, I travel solo and a electric scooter comes with me..and I need to travel cheap and with no stops...

For the flight that I need, they are showing the lowest coach flight for the same price as the lowest business. I hope that they will post lower economy prices soon.

Same here flight cost is just a little lower than lowest business,but not much like $50. all we can do is keep hoping

For whatever reason, the first prices loaded are really high. That usually lasts only a few days until the normal prices appear. Even those are still somewhat high @ $143 + tax for one-way Bloomington, IL to Orlando, so I'll wait for a fare sale. The $143 fares were $94 each way when I bought my October ticket during the latest fare sale earlier this week.

EEEK! Not only do I still need airfare from DFW to MCO for Nov/Dec, but I just bought airfare on Air Tran for my Sept trip a couple of days ago. Don't tell me those tickets may not be honored. Oooooooh! I hate Southwest!
