Day after Pres. Day '05 they lost 1 bag of ours (& denied that it was ever checked in even though we had claim number). Insisted the bag was delivered to PIT even though we alerted their staff when we arrived that it was missing.
Actually, turned into our homeowners policy waiting for settlement when I received a call from a nice lady in Flint, Michigan.
She had my bag sitting on her porch for a month & got sick of calling AirTran to come & pick it up. She was missing a bag too. She actually tracked me down by calling the Hard Rock Hotel, who's luggage claim #sticker was still attached to the bag. The concierge called me & asked if it was okay to give her my phone #

.
note to self, put an index card inside all luggage w/personal info!
Don't think she ever got her bag back, poor thing. As for me, after prolonged & intense negotiations w/AirTran

.....my bag magically appeared on my front porch 2 days later & we received RT vouchers for all in our party for future air travel.
Mostly annoyed because I had to buy new phone, digital camera & video chargers; that aren't covered under replacement issues. They, & a few odd personal items, were the only thing missing from the bag. All of our WDW/U collector pins were left untouched (?).
We still fly them, figure it's the luck of the draw. The Today show reported that all carriers are reporting more lost luggage issues.
