Airtran credit?

I have a credit from our flights last year. We booked in July for Oct flights and now have a credit. I have to use those credits by July but does that mean book by or fly by? Also, I have a small credit in my DH name and he may not fly this time, can that amount be applied to our flights? Thanks for all your help.

Not sure about the credit in DH's name, but the credit from the October flight must be use to purchase the new flight by July. It does not matter when you actually fly. I had the same thing happen to me, with AirTran, last year.
