I am I right to assume that you cant use the coupon on tickets already booked?

correct, which is too bad as I just booked our August return flight 2 weeks ago. I was afraid to wait too long as the fares keep changing and continue to go up.

I doubt it was AirTran's intention for people to acquire multiple codes so they could use one per person in each direction. I suspect this is a loophole that AirTran will fix in the future!

I'm sure you're probably right. For right now it's working, as it did the last time the coupons came out. The coupon does say "one coupon per person", so there's always a possibility they could catch up to it and not honor the second coupon. Guess it remains to be seen.

I already bought a ticket last month, but I used the coupon code for my seat assignments, and will get $13 credited to my AMEX - or so I'm reading. However, I used just ONE code for 2 seats, rather than one $25 coupon per seat!

I bought tickets for 5 people with a savings of 150 dollars. Bought 8 one ways last night and 2 one ways today. I really had to work hard for them.We had to send the invite to 8 different email adresses and register each one with airtran and then we got 8 separate codes. I ended up having to make several yahoo addresses to make this work. We are flying from Detroit in December for 50 dollars each way so the total I paid for 5 was 500 dollars. That is my all time best airfare bargain! I was worried airtran would have it figured out today but was still able to get a ticket so my DD14 could bring a friend.

If you had 8 codes, you should've saved $200. Or did you use 2 of the vouchers for seat assignments?

My bad, my brain is a littled addled after juggling all those codes and email addys. I saved 250 dollars .I can't tell you how many times I checked and rechecked each ticket before purchase, I could see myself ending up with one person with one ticket and another with three. Or, worse yet, the 3 year old booked on a different flight than the rest because I clicked the wrong button.

You only need to make 2 seperate reservations one for each way.
Book everyone at the same time and apply as many coupons as there are passengers. Each person is allowed one coupon. Same thing for the flight home.

Others have posted that the website wouldn't allow them to post more than one coupon this time. Did you get it to accept more than one on the same reservation?

That's good to know (and a whole lot easier to do). Another poster stated that it wouldn't allow them to enter a second coupon. Glad to hear you were able to. Sure makes it easier to keep your group together.
