I have recieved my tickets..............all ok
Car hire voucher............................been told we do not need one just go to dollar with our invoice.
Disney tickets................................well after a lot of confusion I THINK we get them at Airtours Welcome Centre in Sanford.
DDP.............................................Ho tel will have it on our booking, again show invoice.

I know I am not only one with concerns ( hi shep ) but Airtours customer services is not brilliant for giving same info more than once, TA called 3 times for me last week and was given 3 different answers.

Please somone reassure us that when we get to Sanford our tickets and car WILL be waiting for us.

I have email from Airtours about Disney tickets and car hire which quotes my booking ref so will take this with me.

Not sure that this reply will help.

I think it might depend on who you've booked through. We booked using the Airtours brochure but went to Going Places to book it. They said that everything - including the actual park passes would be ready to be collected with our tickets about two weeks before we fly.

I remember reading in the brouchure that all vouchers etc. that you've ordered including car voucher would be at Sanford when you arrive.

Try not to worry!!

Hi, we booked with airtours last year and had a nightmare with the car. I questioned the lack of car voucher with goingplaces when our tickets arrived and was told he same thing - that we didn't need one, just our invoice.

When we arrived we went to the dollar desk who asked for our car voucher and when we said we didn't have one and showed them what we had they basically said if you dont have a voucher there is no car booked!! :scared1:

It was basically a nightmare! we had had a 9 hour delay to our flight and decided we couldn't be bothered to argue and they gave us a free transfer to resort.

We were told to discuss it with the rep the next day. when we did this he was pretty clueless. we decided that it would take too long to sort out so we gave up the car and made our own way around but they refused free transfer back to the airport so we were forced to pay!

PLEASE PLEASE double check this with your TA orairtours! i would hate this to happen to you aswell. :eek:

I WOULD CHECK WITH THEM AGAIN, AS THEY DO MAKE MISTAKES SOMETIMES.

We had a problem with thomas cook a few years back with our transfers from the airport to the hotel, which were clear to see on my booking, but when we got to Sanford the rep told us we had requested the free car.
He would'nt accept my booking receipt from thomas cook, and then tried to bully me into handing over my credit card to pay for more transfers. Doh hello I've already paid for them:mad: .

He had me there over an 30minutes, if it was'nt for the fact that my diabetic mother was with me, and due to take her insulin, I think i would still be there arguing about these transfers. In the end he could'nt get us the transfers, or ANY decent transportation to the hotel. We ended up in a old taxi that had seen better days, and even the taxi driver wanted the rip us off, he asked us if we wanted the short or long trip, then charges us for every toll he went through, added his own tip to the final price=total paid $100.

The next day i was onto the thomas cook resort office to get my money back,
it took them nearly a week to get their finger out and come out to see us. They returned the $100 i paid out. When we came back to the UK i complained to the Thomas cook head office here, they sent me an apology letter and 100 pounds in compensation.
 

I will by flying with airtours at the end of the month. When I queried about attraction tickets bought through them, the said we would have to pick them up from the welcome meeting held the next day on I Drive. I asked if there was another way round this as we wanted to hit the parks straight away. They made a phone call and have now arranged for our tickets to be picked up at the airport. Our TA told us if you booked your tickets through Airtours, at the same time as booking your holiday that they were available at the Welcome meeting not at the airport. She said that only way they would be available at the Welcome Centre at the airport was if we specifically requested this, otherwise we would have to attend the Welcome meeting. Having seen these cheesy welcome meetings on the tv, I would really not recommend this:headache:

I am just hoping and praying that they will be there for me at the airport, planning is a :headache: headache, just in case they arent

You will need a car voucher. We had the same problem with First Choice and a difficult time getting the car.

If you are on the dining plan, you should get your tickets when you check in at your hotel along with the DDP. UK TA's are clueless about this bit!! First Choice also told us we would get them the next day. If in doubt you could just ring your hotel for confirmation before you arrive.
