Hi

Has anyone used Mears towncar service for transport from MCO to the hotel?
If so how was the experience . I also have heard positive feedback regarding Tiffany and Prestige. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Not sure about Mears, Tiffany or Prestige but Amyke had the following recommendation for transportation:

One last recommendation and this is a biggie IMO: getting to and from the airport. Instead of using the Mears Shuttle I recommend hiring a private driver before you go from taxi-mco.com or http://taxi-mco.com/

Has anyone tried Orlando Taxi Service? I found this when I was surfing
the net and they seem like a trustworthy/family oriented company. They
charge $40.00 from MCO to Universal hotels in a van. He (Marty) also said
he would stop at a store if we like and he knows alot of tips about the
theme parks. His website is www.orlandotaxiservice.com

I have been very pleased each time I have used Tiffany. The drivers are very professional and always on time (usually early!). The first trip they took us from MCO to Disney, second trip from MCO to Port Canaveral, and third trip from MCO to Universal. I will continue to use Tiffany in the future. Their website is www.tiffanytowncars.com. There is a $5.00 off coupon you can print out when reservation is booked online. Various rates are listed according to destination.

Yes I have used the Mears shuttle. But instead I highly recommend hiring a private driver before you go from taxi-mco.com or http://taxi-mco.com/Pages/comparison.htm

You can choose your driver from those listed at the above site and have personal service for the same price or less than Mears, plus there will be no waiting for other people to get to the van and no dropping anyone else off. We chose Ed Korgan and he was wonderful!

He met us in the airport at the baggage claim, took us right out to his very clean and comfortable Chevy Suburban SUV, brought us to the grocery store so we could stock up on cheap snacks and breakfast items to last our whole stay, delivered us right to RPR, then was there to pick us up the morning of our departure. He and I emailed beforehand to set everything up and he even called me to confirm everything before our trip. He was VERY nice, friendly and helpful. My kids really liked him and asked that we hire him again next time we go to FL. I HIGHLY recommend the taxi-MCO service!

Thanks for the info Amyke.

I'm taking your suggestion. Already e-mailed Ed Korgan. $80 round trip.
We will need the space of the Suburban (there are five of us).

Mears priced out to $118 round trip ( two kids count as adults). I probably could have used Mears (our flight gets in around 9:30 PM). I don't think there would be too many people traveling at that time. But hey, for less money, why wouldn't you have someone meet you right at the luggage and whisk you away? Not to mention the stop at the supermarket

I think this sounds like the way to go :)

We've used and liked Quicksilver. Our driver was excellent -- early for pickups, courteous, and helpful.
