I am trying to find a flight for my mom from Roanoke VA to Disneyland {we will be driving from WA and she will be meeting up with us at Disney}...can you tell me what would be the best airport for her to fly into? Trying to find a relatively cheap flight, but not sure which airports to checkout...thanks

Try John Wayne (SNA) - Southwest flies there, so other airlines have to keep their fares pretty competitive. It's also the closest airport to Disneyland. LAX is your other option, of course - TONS of flights into LAX! She could always take a shuttle from LAX to Disneyland and meet you there, if that timing works out better for all of you.

There's also the Ontario airport, though you might find that getting from there to DLR is more expensive in time and money than possibly paying a bit more for SNA, but shuttle costs are less and it's much closer.

And I've heard that the Long Beach airport is good, but SW doesn't seem to go there so I haven't used it.

We are flying into Long Beach out of JFK in New York. It was the best deal and looks close to DL. Car rental on site was cheap too.

my mom flew from norfolk, va to SNA to visit me here. She used southwest. It's about 20 mins from disney and has a lot of good car deals

SNA and Long Beach are going to be the two closest airports to DLR. Long Beach is just a little further away than SNA. They're both nice small airports and very easy to get around in. You'll usually find cheaper flights into LAX but the cost of the shuttle to get to DLR may eat up your savings and you'd be better off just flying into SNA. That's what I find most of the time. And it will take you a lot longer to get to DLR from LAX too! Your best bet is to try to find a flight on Southwest into SNA.:thumbsup2
