airport nr grand caynon

Hi

I know this is off the disney trail, but we will be going to disneyland, las vegas and then onto orlando.
What i need to know, is there an airport nearer to the grand caynon, our original plan was to stay 1 night in vegas and then onto the caynon for 1 night then back to vegas. What im now thinking is, it would be better if we just went straight to the caynon from la.

Going to the south rim of the Grand Canyon from L.A. is a reasonable day's drive...I'm trying to recall how long, and I'm thinking 7 hours or so, much of it desert. I think the nearest small airport would be Williams, though there may be an actual Grand Canyon airport nearer; either one is going to be $$$$. Take a look on the NPS site or AAA and I bet you'll get your details there.

Flagstaff (FLG) is near the Grand Canyon, and is serviced by America West arilines at least.
