Airport lounges at Manchester Terminal 2 ...

.... considering splurging next weekend ... any experience of either the Airport one or the V-Room?

Is V-room worth the extra £5 per head?

I didn't realise that there was a V room at Manchester..? Would be interested to hear feedback on the Manchester Airport lounges too, although the ring way shopping always keeps me entertained, much to DBF dismay

I asked about the V room a while back and got very positive feedback. I was concerned that it was going to be one big kids play area(although i have young children i didn't want to be sat in the middle of the Wacky Warehouse), but i was reassured that there a kids free zone where adults can relax. From the pictures I've seen it looks very spacious with plenty to eat and drink.We did do the other T2 lounge in 2010 and we loved that too, only drawback with that is its not as child friendly (no computer games) but still very nice. Would i spend an extra £5pp ?, yes

We used the V room last October and loved it! It was very chilled with plenty to eat and drink. We were on the later flight and they let us in earlier than I had been expecting.

I have to say though it had only been open a few months so it may have been quieter than it would be now?

We're on the early flight next time and we plan to book again if the reviews remain good.

Once we left the V room to go to the departure gate and joined the "hoards" we realised how spoilt we had been and it was a great start to the holiday!

We did the vroom and loved it, it really was a great start to the holliday. The kids area and the adult area are at opposite ends so pretty easy to get away. The food was really good, staff very helpfull.

It really is worth it.

Pretty sure you have to book the holiday through Virgin to use it.

Another thumbs up for the V room here!

We don't have kids yet and also didn't want to be stuck in the middle of a Wacky Warehouse (not that we didn't have a whirl on the football table or the playstation ). It was nice and quiet, food was good and the staff were nice.

It sure beats being in crowded areas and I felt very relaxed before our flight.

I think you have to book a holday with Virgin Holidays, VA and VH are different I think.

yes V-room is only available if you have booked a Virgin Holiday..
We use the Gatwick V-room every time now, its just bliss. To be honest we have never seen it busy regardless of what times our flight has been. It is money well spent just to sit in the kids free area eating breakfast and using the internet and reading the papers...do it if you can.

we actually have a flight inclusive package booked with Disney, but the V room website is taking my reservation number (I understand a subsiduary of Virgin actually provides the holidays) so I'm wondering if it will be ok!

We l,oved v room at Manchester, very relaxing, good selection of food and drinks, would do it again
