Well the time is drawing closer and I still hv currency to get ;do estas (which I cant do till DD passport arrives back) get seaworld tickets and book an overnight stay at a hotel.
In the past I have booked the travel lodge. Cheap and cheerful. Great as only 10 min drive from airport. Can u tell me which other hotels are near the airport? 5-10 mins max away. I hv looked at the crown plaza and bewleys. Are they close to term 2? I hv booked parking at the carpark directly oppositethe terminal entrance.
Wanted something a bit nicer as DB first trip.

I'm a premier Inn fan. The breakfasts are good value if you travel with kids and the 2 at Manchester Airport are across the road from the airport.:thumbsup2

We have stayed at the Travelodge at Manchester Airport for probably the last 4 or 5 holidays, and each time we have noticed a decline in the cleanliness and facilities, in fact the last time (last May) the restaurant/bar area looked very tired and cheap looking

This time we were planning on booking the Premier Inn which is next door to the Travelodge, but we managed to grab a £29 room at the Premier Inn at the Trafford Centre, which is about 20 mins away, so we can spend the evening before wandering the shopping centre and having a nice meal and drinky :)

We also stayed at the premier inn at Manchester Airport, got the room for £29. The room had 2 double beds unlike travelodge who have one double bed and a pull out sofa bed. Super clean and convenient, we got a taxi to the terminal for around £5ish x

If it's Manchester airport we always stay in the Radisson. Just very convenient as a couple of minutes walk from bedroom to check in. We have always had a family suite which is two rooms and never had any problems with the facilities. You can get parking too which is also incredibly convenient for when you get home. There is a pool/gym/spa treatments too.

We've booked the premier inn at manchester for £39 a room for a family of four you can't beat it and we all love the breakfasts especially the boys!

weve always stayed at the Crowne plaza before, its a lovely hotel.
They do a free shuttle service to the airport too :thumbsup2
This time we're staying at the Radisson blu, just for the convenience. :)

I think if its a treat and if you can afford it, it may be worth staying at the Radisson. Think you can request runway views too :thumbsup2

We stayed at a Premier Inn - I can't remember the name of it now though - it wasn't onsite, but parking for 17 nights was included, we got a taxi to the airport in the morning.

I would stay there again, it only cost £59 for the four of us plus the taxis.

:)

Thankyou for all ur replys. It is manchester. After I have got my rota it looks like we wont be arriving at the hotel till around 10pm so im not going to spend too much now. Will be too late for swimming etc.Probably will be the premier inn but all rooms still £49. For £30 more can stay at the crown. Decisions. We already hv parking booked at the car park in front of arrivals.

When are you going? I booked today for August and paid £29. We weren't planning on staying over the night before but I blame your thread lol :P

What are your dates?

Thanks to this thread I've been looking at airport hotels too!

My boyfriend has said we're not allowed to stay over the night before - apparently living in South Manchester, a 10 minute drive from the airport is 'close' :rotfl2:

Any other hotel recommendations... just in case I manage to change his mind?

x
