Hi everyone, I did do a search on the forums, but either missed what I was looking for ( most likely the case) or it hasn't been answered.

We booked our flights to CA last night for boxing day - Jan 7. Part of which will be in DL (the end part). We noticed that airmiles has park hoppers available, but the dates on them say they have to be used by Jan 2, and then are good for 14 days. We are wondering the following:

1. How long does it take the passes to get to your house?
2. If you get an actual pass or if it is a certificate to redeem at DL?
3. We are thinking, since we won't be using them until Jan 4 or so, we would stop in DL on Dec 26 on our way to the inlaws house, activate the cards, go into DL for a couple of hours to see the holiday stuff, then carry on and come back on the 4th. Will the passes still work for that?

Thanks everyone,

Carole

Hi Carole!

I have only ever gotten WDW passes with Airmiles, but chances are that they work the same. So let me take a shot at your questions.

1. How long does it take the passes to get to your house?
About 1 to 2 weeks.

2. If you get an actual pass or if it is a certificate to redeem at DL?
Actual pass.

3. We are thinking, since we won't be using them until Jan 4 or so, we would stop in DL on Dec 26 on our way to the inlaws house, activate the cards, go into DL for a couple of hours to see the holiday stuff, then carry on and come back on the 4th. Will the passes still work for that?

Sure it will. As long as you use them within 14 days of first use, you will be fine.

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Thanks so much! Now I am trying to decide whether to order them now or wait until the new passes come out..... hmmm most likely the new ones will be more airmiles eh?

Airmiles are increasing everything :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
Airfare, car rentals, hotels.I know that airfare will be increases as of Oct 1st. For us to travel in Jan/Feb airfare will go from 1950 pts to 2500 pts.

It's interesting, because for me, if I waited until Oct 1, it would have been 400 less miles to fly to CA.

We got the westjet mastercard and saved big time on our airmiles. Instead of 5200 am to Orlando each flight is going to be 1600. If you don't have this card, I suggest checking it out on either the airmiles or westjet site.
