I think I'm losing my mind trying to book things for our Sept. trip. I want to get reservations for Space 220, I have put in a request using Dining Fairy. They have always pulled through for me. They managed to get me an upcoming reservation for Homecoming at Disney Springs which I could not snag. Anyways, I have been keeping an eye on Space 220 myself and today when I went in I saw there was a slot for 2:20. I snagged that baby right smartly! I was so excited. True, it wasn't exactly lunch or dinner but it was a reservation all the same right?
I went into My Disney Experience and checked my plans and realized that the reservation I was so proud of was for today. I'm 1200 miles away, don't think I'll be making it, lol.
Since the reservation was less than 2 hours away I couldn't cancel on the website, I had to call directly, but after I explained what happened the nice CM canceled the reservation and didn't charge me the fee.
Lesson learned, pay attention or let Dining Fairy take care of it. :thumbsup2

plantar fasciitis
Anyone have or had this and how did you treat it.?
Thanks
Hugs Mel
I had it a few years ago and my friend recommended a Chiropractor she had gone to for hers. He did some kind of scraping method. I can't remember exactly, but after about 4 visits it was fine and I haven't had an issue since.

My youngest son is on his 5 th treatment of shock waves ($150.00) a treatment for his Plantar Fasciitis.
It is very painful though.
I'm kind of a NO pain girl. lol

For anyone interested, I just saw a post on FB about an 800 number for Disney.

1-888-701-4100 Option 4

I was skeptical so I gave it a try. It works, takes you to 'Welcome to Walt Disney Resorts'. Apparently you can get any department with this number. So, if you are like me and find you wish there was an 800 number, you're welcome. :)

Correct,,this is the AP holder number,,,but pressing 4 gets you to "all other questions"

Hey all! So sitting at Pearson waiting for our flight.

The plantar fasciitis subject….I don’t have it but do have some other mysterious foot/heal pain issue. I thought for sure I had PF as the symptoms are almost the same. My osteopath suggested trying some OTC orthotics from Marks that have been amazing. He thought it worth trying before ordering custom ones. Anyway, he said they have to be hard with a deep heal cup. None of the soft squishy ones. Cost was around $65. I’ve got 2 pair…one is more of a slimline type fit. They took a couple of days to mold to my foot but after that all he been good. He also told me never to walk around barefoot.

We finally had an on time flight for the first time in close to a year. BUT sat out on the runway for about a half hour. Made up a little time in the air and arrived at the gate only 5 minutes late. For some unknown reason everyone got off at lightning pace. We were from the gate, to baggage to driving out of the garage in 45 minutes. That is record time for MCO. Got to the resort and checked in by about 8:30. DD’s friend came and picked her up around 10pm. Tomorrow we are going to MK to meet up with DD as her friends are all working so she was going to be in the park alone. Probably won’t go early or stay for all that long. I asked DD to try and get us in the virtual que for Tron so that might decide what we are doing tomorrow.

Gosh....have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so stinking excited for anyone travelling right now.

Wifes flight leaves Toronto at 630am...what time do the counters and customs even open? Was planning on dropping them off at 330...too early?
Security opens at 4am but by that time there will be a long line. See if she can book YYZ express which might help.

DD went out on the 6:15am AC flight many times and she said they were always walking down the line pulling people that were on the first 2 flights.

Well….it’s been a day. It’s hotter than blazes down here. We did get to ride Tron again. Got to see a special princess. Wandered the park, did the old boring stuff we haven’t done in years. Went over to the Poly for Dole Whip and back to our room around 4pm. Going to relax for a while and then to dinner.

If it’s not available I wouldn’t worry too much. Drop them off at 3:30 and they can line up for security. Based on what DD has said the staff hustle to grab everyone with those early flights and get them through. She never had an issue but she did go around 3:30 and she knows exactly what to do for bag drop and where to go.

Using the MPC app would probably also be a good idea at that time of day.

We only fly 1 or 2 times a year,,,so without help here,,,would never know....thanks all

Yep.

DO NOT WALK BAREFOOT. EVER. Well, except while bathing, but once out of the tub/shower (i.e. still on the bathmat), back into supportive footwear. I wear Crocs in the house.

You may need new shoes and you likely need an orthotic, but store bought orthotics can work for many people with PF.

I first used Tuli's heel cups, then eventually got shoes specially designed for PF and foot issues.

Bob & Brad are two Physical Therapists that have a Youtube channel. They have some great videos about PF (and a slew of other issues)>

This is their "The 5 Things Anyone With Plantar Fasciitis Should Do Every Morning" video which is a sseries of things to do every morning before you get out of bed:

This is their PF playlist which I think you will find informative: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8l32k1r15l5-EIbYLx-HiiypueuVsiMH

They do have an Amazon store where they sell things like massagers; I didn't buy any and there is no need to; you can do things like massaging by hand (see the 5 things video). The nice thing with their videos writ large is most of the things you can do yourself without having to buy anything, and even when they do suggest tools to purchase they show you a home-done alternative when that is feasible.

Anyhow, their playlist will be a good starting point for you for information. It includes info on shoes, orthotics, and other relevant topics.

Hope this helps.
