It's not about something I like or dislike but rather what the other party suggested or promised. The airline most likely published some procedure for dealing with video equipment, bulky items, fragile items, etc. If there were no such procedure, the passenger's company would probably have chosen to iovernight the equipment using a different carrier. But a published procedure is supposed to work; if it might not then it should not have been published. In case of the folks in London, anyone not willing to take the chance the airline might not return the equipment surrendered should have been able to make alternative choices (such as ship the equipment separately) and then be transported (or have his fare refunded). At least if the passenger is on business, his company would retain the attorney.ALL that the airline has EVER agreed to do is put YOU on the plane. Ask those folks who were in London who got thier Laptops, cameras everything but a SMALL plastic baggie taken away and loaded under the plane. They were NOT entitled to compensation and neither are you.
You seem to live in a world where if anyone does something you don't like you want PAYMENT! LOL! (Do you have a lawyer on retainer to sue the airlines?)
