I read on the Budget Board that one of the airlines offers TV's on all their planes for a nominal fee. I can't remember which one it was. Does anyone know? :thanks:

Jet Blue. They also have XM satellite radio.

Song also did, but they are now merging back into Delta so there are no guarantees that you will get a tv.

I don't believe either charge a fee.

Duds

That would be delta song and Jet Blue.............. :cool1:

THERE IS NO FEE!!! I flew SONG last year to TAMPA, NO fee and I just flew JET BLUE to Tampa this year and NO fee!!!!!!!!!

At least I paid ZERO and had tv w/cable!!!! :thumbsup2

I think on Song you have to pay for movies. We're flying song in a week (WOOHOO!) and I thought I saw on their website that there's a small fee for the movie channels.

Alaska Airlines has portable TV's that have multiple movies stored in them. They offer them on their cross continental flights. We used them in October when we flew out from Seattle. They are quite convenient and cost $10.

I believe you are RIGHT :thumbsup2 about MOVIES. You will have a TV with basic cable FREE of Charge. If you select certain movies, I (think) there was a fee. Now they had so many channels, I did not bother with ordering any movies. I sleep half the time and the other half generally reading...so I don't bother with movies! And like I said IF you fly Jet Blue or Delta Song you will have a good selection on your basic TV!!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the quick replies. :) Unfortunately, I checked those airlines, & none of them fly into Charlotte. :( Tampa is our home airport, but we're flying from Charlotte after dropping off our DS & 4-legged baby girl at my sister's house in NC. I'll definitely keep those in mind for future flights from Tampa though. :sunny:

Frontier also has seatback TV, but it isn't free. There is a $5 charge to have each one turned on. Bringing your own headphones is a good idea.
