Airfare for Dec. should I book now or wait?

I have been going crazy trying to decide if I should book my airfare now for our Dec. trip to WDW or should I wait? Does anyone have any expereince with fares for this time of year? I was thinking the closer it gets to the holidays the more expensive it will get. I can get round trip tickets from Tulsa to Mco with American Airlines for $1075 for 3 people. Any advise on this subject would be greatley appreciated. Our dates of travel are 12/9 to 12/15. I already have my rental car for this trip but just trying to figure out the airfare. I am a planner and having things not done just drives me CRAZY which in return drives my DH crazy too!!!

Is the price you are seeing now acceptable for you? As well as the times you are able to fly? If so, then book. Depending on your airline, you may have to endure some slight schedule changes, or some drastic ones. Lately Delta has been the airline that has been reported here and changing flight schedules and messing seat assignments.

I've been going to WDW for several years now about the time you are going. I fly out of MSP, where there is next to no competition, so when you see a deal, you take it. I'm going 11/30-12/8 this year. So far, I haven't found a deal I'm willing to take yet. For me, I know anything approaching $200 a person is acceptable to me, if it's the right times. Right now, it's sitting at $324 per person. I can wait a little longer.

In the past, I have found deals as early as March. Last year, I didn't buy my tickets until September. I'm a planner, too, and it killed me to have to wait that long.

And if you haven't flown much, you'll find that the airfares are like the stock market...up and down with very little predictibility.

That's why I say, know what is a good deal for your neck of the woods, and when you see it, take it.
