I found a great deal on a one way ticket from my area on jet blue. for all 6 of us it is a good price. now they have not opend up the dates I want to return yet.

my question is should I jump and get the only flight that is offerd on that day for 84/person( other times that day is not a direct flight and cost more to)

even though I am not booking my return? ( I am flexable on the return dates when they open up) or should I just wait and I could loose that great fair??? help!!!

I would grab it! You can always book your return on another airline.

We did this...We got a great price (yours is better though) for a departing flight on Airtran for 104 pp during April vacation. We booked it. A few days later the price went steadily up and now that same one way flight is something like 399.00! We didn't get as lucky with a cheap return flight but b/c our departing was such a good deal, it definitely took the pain out the entire price!

Go get that flight!

One-ways are better to book anyways.
You then have the flexibility to change one flight without affecting the other.

Just to echo the other posters, I would JUMP on the one-way for your flight down.
