Has it always been that there are no aircraft allowed to fly over the parks or is it just since 9/11? Thanks.

I know in the 80's they'd have anoying arial banners being towed by aircraft flying over the world all the time, they even had an ultralight show over epcot and world showcase lake area during the afternoon.....( trip was late dec 1986. OU apprearance for the orange bowl, beat penn state.)

its deffinatly been a no fly zone since 9/11 but dont know if it had been prior.

I know it was no fly zone over DL for a while after 9/11, but I see them fly over all the time now! :confused3

Lots of helicopters and light planes over the parks and resorts at WDW last week. Also airliners, but those at a farily high altitude.

I remember the planes with banners advertising Church Street Station and other Orlando attractions. We were at MGM Friday and saw a few helicopters. I suppose it's possible they were WDW helicopters.

We noticed that in September too. Didn't know if they were Disney aircrafts flying folks in and out or what. I'd love to know.
