what is an Embraer RJ135/ 145 (ERJ)?

Will it be scary for my MIL?

Thanks!

They are 30-50 seat regional jets (2 jet engines). They have 1 seat on one side of the aisle, and 2 seats on the other side of the aisle. They are nice little planes.

hmmm. I'm not sure how MIL & friends would feel about that. It's from NJ to Maine. There isn't much else available. Actually, there is nothing else available!

How much smaller is that than a 737?

They are about 1/2 the size of 737. 737s can seat from 100 to 160 people. These, as the other poster mentioned carry about 30 to 50. The 737 also has 6 abreast seating in a 3-3 fashion while these are 3 across.

Here is their website if you are interested...

737's are much larger than the ERJ's, but, they aren't too small. They are comfortable, though. I'm sure she'll be fine. :)
