We're arriving at BCV on Friday and wanted to buy a single airbed from Wal-mart.
Can anybody tell me if they also sell fitted sheets specifically for a single airbed?
Thanks...

You can use regular twin sheets. Buy an Aerobed, you won't be disappointed! :D

Or you can do what we did. Buy an aerobed, forget it at home, and have mousekeeping set up an eggcrate foam mattress topper on top of couch cushions. They will supply extra sheets and blankets.

When given lemons, make lemonade!

Re the Aerobed, are they the ones that inflate to the height of a normal bed? If so, won't that be a bit too big for a studio.
Thanks...

It only inflates to the size of a regular mattress (not including box springs). You could probably stick it by the kitchenette.

Thanks Debbie,
One more thing, Is Wal-mart the best place to buy one or are they better priced elsewhere?

overstock.com has the beds that inflate to the height of a normal bed on sale right now (queen and full). They also have the one that inflates to the height of a regular mattress.

I would like to buy one for my DVC trips as well as for other trips. I would like to get the queen bed that is the height of a normal bed. Will I have any trouble fitting this in the living room of a 1 BR? I'm wondering if I should just play it safe and get the full size. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Another vote for standard Aero Bed. It is the best. It has made about 10 trips via check baggage and is still ticking.

Mike:
If you want to put the queen aero in the livingroom when the sofa bed is open, it probably will be too big. If you mean when the sofa bed is closed, probably be ok if you move some furniture around.

Bed bath and beyond has the standard areo twin (standard no built in pillow but a felt topping) for $49.99. comes with the moter just plug in and fill . Same bed a K Mart $99.00 We have had an areo bed for 5 yrs now it travels everywhere with us Actually we now own 3 of them. Also have 2 teen one Young Adult that take them for sleep overs or camping trips. We just roll it up with the sheet on We have a water bed full size sheet that has the top sheet attached so when the bed is inflated the sheet does not roll of as they inflate up to 6-8 inchs. We request an extra blanket and we all bring our own pillows anyway . Our packs nicely in the bottom of a suitcase. The twin fits betwenn the bed and couch in a studio and we can always find a nook for it in the bigger units.
Good Luck
Brenda

We have used a twin aerobed in a studio with no problems. It fits nicely in the hall entry.

goofyforwdw- thanks for the bed & bath info. I have been looking for the past week and that the best price I've heard of!

For those with families, we found ...Readybed inflatable sleeping bags and our kids love them. They are inflatable like the aerobeds, but they are sleeping bags also. They also have Disney Princess, Wiggles, Spiderman, etc. Our DD2 and DS6 won't leave on vacation without them.

I think you can get them at Target. We are taking them to WDW in January with us.

Hope this helps

How cool! Thanks for that link about the ready beds. I've never seen that before!

sooooooooo, do you just check the bed with bag, or do you put it in a luggage piece?
DS is so glad we have one for this trip ~ he norm sleeps on seat cushions arranged on the floor cos the pull-out is so uncomfortable.
btw to anyone looking: also check LNT using a home-mailed 20% coupon.

thanks!!

We always drive, so we just toss it in the back of the van. If we were flying, I think I'd put it inside a duffle bag, at least, to be sure the nylon bag doesn't get ripped by the conveyors.

We just fold it down and put it in the suit case, as we fly most of the time. We had a duffle bag that had a seperate bottom compartment that we packed the areo bed in but it was destroyed by the airlines one trip, sons clothes ruin ,bag destroyed but the areo bed was fine. The ready bed are cute but my boys are 6'2 275lb and 6'5 225lbs so some how I don't think they would work for us. lol We use areos everywhere and love them I even slept on one it was very comfortable but It is to hard for me to get off the floor . My brother keeps buying cheap beds and has to blow the thing up with his mouth or the vacum, he has gone through like 5 of them and we still have our original aero.
Take care Brenda

I have an Aero bed and my son loves it. We did some construction in his room last year and we took his bed apart. I wanted to put it up in the living room for the time but he preferred the Aero bed on the floor.
I did get some holes in it this past trip, along the seams of the baffles, but I picked up some rubber type glue that you use on pool supplies. I put the glue down, then some clear Duct tape, then more glue. I have tried the other type of repair kit stuff before but the Duct tape instead of the plastic worked better.
I stay in a studio at OKW with a brother and sister who both are bed hogs so I won't share with either of them. We moved the table closer to the patio door and put the aero bed right next to the connecting door to the room next door. It stayed inflated during the entire trip and was not in our way at all.
But I do like those Readybeds. I have to look into those. Peggie
