We are taking an Air Transat flight down to WDW in September. I have usually flown Air Canada in the past.

I was told the seats are a rather tight fit if you have a big you-know-what. Which I have. Will this be unbearable for 2-1/2 hours?? Looking for past experiences from people with a similar size. Thanks!

If you are really concerned, consider using air transats Club Transat which will put you in a separate cabin at the front of the aircraft with wider more comfortable seats, comp drinks, and better food as well as an amenity kit and headphones. Check with your TA if this is of interest to you.

Thanks Pooh - we did check this out and they don't have any Club Transat seats on this flight.

have flown Air Transat a couple of time and honestly speaking my size 16-18 butt fit ok in the seats , its the leg room that I find is the worst. I am not a tall woman approx. 5'6' and I find that leg room is an issue. Watching my 6'2" DH fit his legs in the seat is very ammusing. No carry on baggage under the set in front of him. ;) Happy a great trip! My family is going in Sept. too.

If you can get your choice of seats, get the ones by the emergency exit. There are no seats in front of these ones and they seem to be a bit bigger.

We are a family of 4, but only needed 3 seats because dh was only 15 months and he's small too. So we had four people in three seats and fit fine.

We pre-booked the bulkhead seats for extra leg room and the baby bassinette attached to the wall in front of us. Pre-booking our seats costs only a bit more but much less than first class.

Well, I have flown with Air Transat twice now. I have a big "you know what" and the seats and leg room are squisshy. Can't do much about the leg room (I'm 5'8") but make sure you get seats where the arm rest raises up..........absolutely vital for comfort. A word of caution though....bulkhead seats have stationary arm rests.....so your legs may be comfy but your seat won't be!!

All I have to say is that anyone still willing to fly Air Transat after the last 10 days or so has a lot more guts than I do. :(
