Any one ever fly Air Tran out of Philly?
They had a good rate that was $100.00 cheaper per person then U.S. Air. Couldn't pass it up.

Where is the terminal located? Do they assign seats ahead of time, or is it like Southwest with first come first serve?

i flew on airtran out of philly. they were okay. rate roundtrip to mco was $159. i do not remember where the terminal was in the philly airport but at mco, it was very far from where mears dropped us off. the last counter in the departure terminal which wasn't fun on the way home with souvenirs but we made it. airtran allows you to check in 24 hours ahead of your flight time online and choose seats. you can print boarding passes at home. this worked for us fine and when we got to the airport, checked our bags in by just showing our boarding passes and the clerk printed tags.

as for the seats, i think the general feel on these boards is to just check with the airline after you choose seats. they do not guarantee those seats, just that you have a seat on that plane. we had a small problem on the return trip. i checked in online at the resort but couldn't print boarding passes. when i got to the airport, one of my seats was far from the rest of us. luckily someone switched with us as i was traveling with children.
