Air Tran or Southwest?

I have a question also about these airlines. I'm looking at flights for December. I've found AirTran for $255 roundtrip (Indy to Orlando). Do I book or wait until June for Southwest to list their flights? I believe this is when they'll list them? Both flights are nonstop at a good time for us. What do you think???

I'm also in central IL (Champaign), and I usually fly AirTran from Bloomington, IL to Orlando. One-ways are now $109 plus tax, and there are non-stops flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from BMI. There's free parking at the Bloomington airport, too. Airfare is usually a bit lower out of Indy than from Bloomington, but it involves a longer drive plus at least $9/day to park.

NancyIL I have been on the AirTran website several times and can't find any flights out of Bloomington to Orlando. I would pay $109 for a non-stop in a second. What am I doing wrong? Where do you see these flights? Thanks in advance.

Bloomington, IL is on the list of airports where AirTran flies (BMI - Bloomington/Normal). They have one morning non-stop each direction, four days a week. All other flights from Bloomington connect in Atlanta.

So, when I'm on the AirTran website and I try to see flights from Bloomington to Orlando and none are listed. Does this mean they are sold out or just not listed yet? Should I call AirTran and see? Thanks again.

What are your travel dates? AirTran is booking only through Dec. 17. If you are able to see AirTran's available flights for your travel dates out of Indianapolis, then you should be able to see them out of Bloomington as well. I am flying from Orlando to Bloomington on Dec. 17th, although that day (Friday) there are no non-stops.

Ah-ha, that is the problem. Our dates are Dec. 26th - 31st. I guess I'll keep looking and maybe they'll come out this week or next. Thanks for the help.
