air sales for December?

My family just decided over the weekend to take a trip down to visit in December. I am starting to work on getting all of the details in place. Does anyone have a guestimate on when discount airlines like Southwest or AirTran start releasing their sale fares for December? I downloaded Ding already today so I can watch for those sales. I'm just curious if I need to be watching closely now or if it is more likely to be October or so before the sales start coming out.

I don't know where your flying from, but Airtran has rates for Dec for 49.00
We just booked our early dec trip for 117.00 r/t per person.
I would start checking now. Also SW has some 79.00 which isnt bad either

Check delta. I got $116.20 R/T from RDU to MCO in early January.

Where are you finding these rates? I'm looking and it is over 500 bucks a person...

I just got Delta for 117 from RDU to MCO also for Dec 31-Jan7. Southwest has opened their dates through Jan 9 I think but they haven't gone on sale yet.
