air miles for hotels in Orlando?

What is the best airline to do the rewards miles for hotels in Orlando?

Also, when booking that hotel room, does the person who has the air miles have to be on the reservation? Like, can I use my dad's miles on a room for me without him being there? Thanks!

I know that Delta and American Airlines allow you to use their miles for selected hotels. Delta's "cost" is very high unless you have their Amex or are an elite member.

Your frequent flyer miles are generally worth more if you use them for flying, and I've never used mine for hotels. I've heard that American sometimes has decent hotel deals though.
