I was wondering if an air mattress would fit inside a room at Portofino Bay. I know they have the roll away bed but for the same price I could get an air mattress to use multiple times. Has anyone done this? TIA

We have used one next to the window at RPR and their rooms are 100sq ft smaller so my guess would be yes! During the day we just stood it up on end and it hardly took up any room at all!

to save $25 a night for the use of the rollaway, many homies bring an aero bed or air mattress to use in the room.

Yep we have stayed there 3 times. Paid for the rollaway once and used an air mattress the other 2 times. Loads of floor space in these rooms , not to mention the biggest bathrooms i've been in :)

Could we request sheets and a blanket? We have a lot to bring and would rather not have to bring these.

in your room, on the phone, star service button is noted.

push the star service button and request, linens, pillows, blankets and anything else you need.

they will bring it to you.

it is free......

if you forget your toothbrush, paste, shaving stuff, ask for that with star service.
again, they bring it to your room and it is free.

you will find that info on the material they give you at check in.

Does bringing an air mattress (and I guess saying that there are only 4 in a room) defeat the perk of the Express line service?

We have three kids, and the thought of the air mattress is appealing, but just thinking that the $25 a night for the express is a better deal??

I'm not sure I understand your question? If there are 5 of you in the room you will get 5 Express Passes. You do not have to pay for the rollaway...the only time you pay extra in a room is if there are more than 2 adults in a single room. If you are seeing that the cost for the Express FOR YOUR DATES are only $25 remember that the one you purchase is good for only ONE time through the express for that day only. Staying one night onsite gets you 2 full days of UMLIMITED Express entry.

if you booked a room at one of the three onsite hotels, you can have 5 in the room.
all guests that are checked into the hotel receive a hotel key.
that hotel card allows you unlimited usage for all express lines in the parks.

looking at your siggie, it has the ?? for the May trip.
just states disney/uo vacation with a ??

are you doing a split stay or just day trips to the darkside?

OK, I guess to clarify.....

We would have 2 adults/3 children (all age 10) in our room. So, when I make the reservation, I could reserve for 2 adults/3 children and not have the $25 rollaway fee if I chose to bring an air mattress? Only if I had 3 adults or requested a rollaway? I just thought if I made a reservation for 5 people, it was the automatic rollaway.

And yes, it's our first trip to Universal. We would most likely do daytrips to Disney (so that's the next part I need to figure out. We've been onsight Disney folks exclusively before, so we've never needed to rent a car. I assume the Universal Hotels don't have transportation from the airport like Magical Express?)

We were waiting for the last of our triplets to finally hit 54" to go to Universal. It stinks when your biggest thrill rider is your least in stature! Trying to learn all the ins and outs of Universal as quickly as possible so we can book this trip.
