air matress help

I think I know the problem but I am not sure how to resolve the issue. My wife and I combined weight is 450. We have now bought 2 air matresses both of the cheaper end price and we are constantly having problems with it deflating,( I am sure it is partly due to our weight problem). After coming home from another deflating weekend it is time to spend the money and got a top name brand. I have looked at LL Bean, Cabellas, Dicks, Mc Sprorting goods and Coleman and none of these websites list the total weight it can hold. Just one site Overstock had the weight of 750 pounds but I don't like using that site. Any solutions out there? Thanks.

We own a Queen size Aero Bed and we love it. We purchased it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They were having a great sale and then I think I had a $15 off coupon. We (DH and I) are "full size" people and we have always slept well and never had a air leak.

Aero beds are pricey, but we feel they are worth it. Sleep is very important to us.

Yep, my vote is for an Aerobed, too. We've (knock wood) not had any trouble in 6 years and we are 'pooh' sized people.

Third vote for the aero bed. If you do any camping away from electric, go for the Aero® Sport All-Terrain Bed with Dual Power Pump. This gives you a rechargable air pump that can be charged for either 110v AC or 12v DC. The queen version will set you back $89 or less.

Another vote for a "real deal" Aero bed here. We tried with Coleman and DH would always wake up on the ground (then I'd hit the ground when he got up!) While we're a bit lighter, we do have a good sized lab that sleeps with us on our King size Aero (and a 2.5 year old that sneaks in for cuddles in the morning) and our combined weight is 375 lbs. w/o DS for the majority of the night and 405 lbs. with DS for an hour or so in the morning.

Our Aero bed was a closeout older model we got on eBay a few years ago (external pump) - for camping with no electricity we bought an inverter and it works like a charm.

another vote fr aerobed! We have 3. Never a problem with any of them. We got ours from QVC. If you do not like it, you have 30 days to return it. Patsy

Hi! Just lurking here, don't camp but wanted to throw in my 2 cents for the Aero bed. Definately worth it and will hold alot of weight (we're pooh size folks here also- plus will take kids jumping up and down on it -I don't recommend this but it does happen). Have a good time!!!

We have had good luck with our coleman. Just used it this weekend and only filled it up once in the beginning.

We have a cheap mattress, we couldnt fins our pump so we had to buy a new one. so since a pump is 20.00 and pump and mattress is 25.00 we decided to buy both, Then that went into I told dh I heard so much about areo mattress' So we bought the sport one. It went flat every night. We had to fill it everyday. and it was no more comfortable than the cheap one. I am taking it back tomorrow.

Don't know about the aerobed sport but the regular and raised aerobeds are great(maybe better than some regular beds). They do put up with a lot of abuse, my kids used to walk across it all the time, the all time favorite is to "ride" it while it inflates/deflates. The kids are now 14 and 10 and the pump can still inflate with them on it(mostly just the 10y/o now).
