travel insurance didn't make sense when you were insuring an airline change fee of $50 or even $75. Obviously I'm assuming you didn't have other reasons to consider insurance. Should you buy
trip insurance if the only expense you need insuring is a $200 change fee? Maybe. Buy it early enough so pre-existing conditions are covered.
Might a better idea is to delay purchasing air tickets until your plans are firm. Waiting may save you a $200 change fee or the price of travel insurance.....
OPs has an issue with their daughter being sensitive to light and heat. The trip is in November. Might not be an easy claim.
