Hi Guys, Given how hot it will be next week can you Universal experts list your favorite air conditioned places to stop in the parks? I don't have an Amex, but I guess I could try to get one, but we leave in 3 days so I'm guessing that strategy won't work unless I apply for one when I get there. Is that recommended?

So I'm looking for air conditioned rides, restaurants you'd recommend, shows, etc.

Thanks!

Universal Studios - Transformer, Dispicable Minion Mayhem ride, Men in Black, Shrek 4-D (indoor show with glasses), Escape From Gringotts, The Hogwarts Express. Restaurant's in Universal Leaky Couldron, Lombards. To name a few and all the shops.

Islands of Adventure- Spider-Man, Forbidden Journey, One fish two fish, Poseidon's Fury ( walk through show). Favorite restaurant Mytho's (get ressie for this), Three Broomsticks, and shops.

Drink plenty of fluids, sun screen, rest breaks :flower1: Have a great trip

Any of the shops or food places to catch some cool air.

As for rides remember lots of lines start outside so I would not consider that air conditioning.

No A/C in line and some during show

Despicable me all outside queue. First ac is the staging room.
Hogwarts express has no ac on IOA side
One fish two fish
High in the sky trolley
Hulk
Storm force
Disaster studios
Kudos and kang
Animal actor
Fear factor
Rip Ride Rockit
Some or Dragons Challenge
Jurrasic park but you will get wet
Same with Popeyes
Camp Jurrasic area
If I ran the zoo
Simpsons
Flight of the hipograph
Olivanders in IOA, no AC inline
Shrek, no ac inline

I think the best place to chill out for IOA is Jurrasic Park Discovery Center
The best place in US to chill out is Nocturn Alley.

My first day it was 97 and with the humidity it was brutal. I had to leave after spending 30 minutes sitting down in a store in the cartoon section. Go slow and take advantage of the AC when you can!

We just got back from a three day trip and boy is that Florida heat brutal! We're from the west coast and even though we'd been warned about the humidity it was hard to adjust to being drenched in sweat by 8:30 am.

Still we had a great time and found that there were quite a few places to cool off. The biggest help was to go early and late and rests at mid day. The evenings were still hot, but it was so much more manageable without the blazing sun beating down on you. From about 8-10 pm the crowds were a lot lower and the temps seemed almost pleasant compared to the rest of the day.

I could not believe how much cooler it was in Nocturn Alley when we went in there. It was great!
